Scanning a Gem
Hold the top of the iPhone, near the camera, flat against the Gem until it buzzes. Phone cases are fine; thick metal or magnetic cases can block the scan. Hunt'em needs an iPhone with NFC, which is every iPhone from the iPhone 7 onwards.
The app says that isn't the right Gem
Treasure Hunt goes in order, so only the Gem for the current clue counts. Check the colour on the map: it matches the Gem that's hidden for that stop.
The app says it doesn't recognise a Gem
That Gem hasn't been added to your family yet. In the Parent Zone, open My Gem Box, tap Pair Gems and scan it. If it still isn't recognised, email us and we'll sort it out.
Playing on two phones
A second grown-up can join your family from their own phone. On your phone, open Parent Zone, then Settings, then Family, and share the Family code. On theirs, when the app first opens, choose Someone in my family has already set it up and type the code in. Explorers, stars and outfits are shared across the family.
Sound isn't playing
Check the volume buttons, then check that Sound effects is switched on in Parent Zone, then Settings. Hunt'em plays sound even when the phone's silent switch is on.
Deleting your account
Open Parent Zone, then Settings, then Your data, then Delete account. Everything is erased straight away, including explorers, stars and hunts. If you're one of several grown-ups in a family, this removes only your access and the family keeps its explorers. Our privacy policy explains what we keep and for how long.
